Layer on the community associations' own trail etiquette and the practical code the greenbelts enforce by geometry: keep passes tight and brief on the narrow segments, call your dog to heel for bikes (they're faster than your reaction time on a blind curve), yellow-gear dogs get space, and waste bags are non-negotiable on paths this shared. East End Park adds its wilder rules — dogs back from the water's edge (Lake Houston's alligators are uncommon but real), wildlife left alone, trail closures respected after floods. None of this constrains a trained dog even slightly: a real heel, a settle, and an emergency recall convert every rule from a limitation into background noise.
